Maggie is nine. This is pretty hard for us to believe because she has always been the "baby" girl in the family and it is becoming clearer everyday that she is no baby. A beautiful, creative young lady - yes. A baby? Definitely not! Daddy is finding this even harder to accept than Mommy but Maggie reassures him frequently that no matter how old she gets, she will always be his baby girl. Thank goodness.
Her party was completely orchestrated by her and she did a marvelous job. She decided it would be undersea themed, she oversaw Gracie's job of making a fish template for the girls to color/decorate for the "sea wall," she put all the littlest pet shop sea creatures on the cake (and I actually left them where she put them - yay, mom!) A good time was had by all and now we have a whole year to prepare for the next step - double digits!
