Prepping for the future....

As many of you know, we plan to retire in San Antonio.  Jody was able to travel there recently to visit Father Stan (who is family to us,) and secure a house that we will share with his Mom and stepdad, Gil.  We can't wait to be closer to family and begin this new chapter in our lives!  We won't be getting there for another year, but here are a few pics of our lot and the model home.

London Birthday!

Here are the kiddos with Big Ben in the background.
We wanted to do something special for Jody's birthday, so we decided to make a quick trip to London before the summer crowds got too overwhelming.  We started with a big red bus trip tour of the city, took a ferry tour, explored the Tower of London and ended at the M&M store.  Great weather AND chocolate- we couldn't have asked for a better day!

I think we were all warmer today than we have been all year!

Royal Ascot and the Army Ball

Jody and I are blessed to be able to attend so many incredible events!
This month we were able to attend the Army's Birthday Ball and Ladies Day at Royal Ascot.
Everyone must look very "posh" for the races - hats required!
We sat in the grandstand and had a great view of the Queen's carriage as she and all the "royals" processed into the grandstand.

 Jody loved the "cigarette girls!"
Pouring over the race sheet to compare all the horses and pick the best ones....
We finally won the LAST race!
Even if we hadn't won, we had a wonderful time!

2025 The First Six Months

This year was to be a year of rejoicing (my chosen "word of the year") and so far, it has exceeded our expectations! We have had ...
