Mustangs Volleyball!

We finally had our first home volleyball game!

Ramie looked and played awesome!  Even though the score was disappointing, we all still had fun.

The Fan Club!

So happy that Daddy was here to help us cheer.  He has been traveling quite a bit and was literally home for two days this week.  He leaves again tomorrow for another work trip but will be in D.C. so he will get to see some of our friends there and make a day trip to see Joseph.

The kids have loved having the bowling alley within walking distance.  The younger set are taking lessons and Drew has joined a youth league.

Air Force Ball

I was given the heads up by a friend, who said to make sure I came prepared to attend MANY fancy functions!  Lucky I listened and put a gown in our express shipment!  We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to the Navy Ball in two weeks!

Gracie is 10!

We had an "art" party and a sleepover.  All the girls had so much fun creating beautiful pictures in their party favor (a sketch book) and playing with all of Gracie's art supplies.  We can't beleive we now have five kids in the "double digits!"

First Days

Charlie started kindergarten this week.  I was very sad to have to miss the first day but Daddy did as promised and delivered him to school in clean clothes (that matched) and snapped a few pics for posterity. He wasn't nervous at all and said school was "GREAT!"

 

Emily also had her first day this week.  First day of college, and although I wasn't there to see it, she let me take a pic while she was trying on her chef's whites.  Good thing, too!  We realized her pants were way too long and I was able to hem them for her before I left. Unfortunately, I am having trouble downloading so you will just have to trust me when I say she looked amazing!

Blackberry Hands

It was a long ten days but Daddy sure managed well!  He even managed to have lots of fun with the kiddos in addition to keeping them fed, getting them to school, and managing all the other activities that come with a big family.  Blackberry picking (even trekking through a cowfield to get to the best berries!), jam making, a medevial horse show, the movies- he went above and beyond to make sure the kids didn't miss me too much while I was getting Emily settled in at Johnson and Wales.

  I am one lucky woman!
