Christmas began with Jody and the "big" kids going to midnight Mass. They had a wonderful time and about 8 hours later our living room was covered in wrapping paper and very happy children! We ended the days celebration with a big dinner that evening. We missed our extended family very much but had 3 families (18 children!) from our Air Force family to share our night with. Hope your Christmas was just as Merry!

Christmas Play
Our Church Christmas play was tonight and the cows stole the show! Maggie was a great wandering cow and Gracie, although reluctants at first, got into it when I explained that people were chuckling because she was cute and if she didn't get up there, Maggie and Bryn would be the only cute ones for them to chuckle at! She was fine after that! Ramie was an angel and Drew was a shepherd and Emily was the narrator. The pic in front of the tree is an example of what happens when fog freezes on trees. It was really beautiful. The last pic is of Joseph playing JV basketball.
Dressed up for Santa!

Cutting down the Christmas Tree!

Black Friday started with my wonderful husband standing in line at the BX (store, for nonmilitary) at 6 a.m. to get a great deal on a new digital camera for my birthday! Now you will see more of the Ogea's on this blog! We then spent the rest of the day hunting for a Christmas tree (complete with the kids "surfing" on a sled behind the van!) and iceskating with our Church youth group. It was a great day and though we didn't get to decorate the tree yet, we can only do so much in a day...we did manage to get the lights on and the angel on top!

San Francisco, Here We Come!
Jody and I were fortunate enough to be able to take a late anniversary trip to San Francisco this weekend. We spent two full, wonderful days ALL ALONE in San Francisco and two more days all alone, traveling. It was great to discover that we still like each other after 17 years of marraige! San Francisco was incredible and we packed our two days with trolley rides, a bay cruise, a play, a musical and enormous amounts of the best food we have had in a looong time!
Meanwhile...Laura was doing a great job with all the kids at home! Of course, they now expect candy and chocolate milk at every meal, but she did all my laundry so I really don't care!

Maggie's 2nd Birthday!

Maggie won't be two until the 8th but we started celebrating early with some friends in the neighborhood tonight. Maggie discovered a few old Blue's Clue's VCR tapes and has been addicted to them ever since! She was thrilled when my sister sent her my nephew's old Blue halloween costume. She wears it OFTEN (that is code for all the time!). It was very easy to choose her party theme, although she does really like Dora the explorer now too.
She had a great time and was especially excited about having her own birthday cake. She has become quite the big girl lately, even trying to potty train herself!
Enjoy the pics!

The Cajuns come North!
Arnold and Diana Bouley, my aunt and uncle came all the way from the Bayou down in southern Louisiana to celebrate their 30th anniversary with us! Hunting was the highlight of the trip, of course.(: But they also ventured into Canada (there is a pic of them freezing at the International Peace Garden, toured a B52, and generally had a good time spoiling the little girls!
We had a great time with them. Here are a few pics.
