Isn't this a great picture? I love my kids. I love that they love each other. I love that even though they argue and get angry with each other, they never forget how much they mean to each other.

Emily's Iron Chef and 15th Birthday!
Emily and I traveled to Boston recently so she could compete in the Art of Living seminar competition at Arnold Hall in Boston, Mass. We had a wonderful time together. A bit of a retreat for me, Mass everyday, the rosary, time to reflect, and a fun "mystery basket" competition for Emily with friends she has been training with at the Stonecrest Culinary Arts club here in D.C. Her team didn't win but she had a blast, made some new friends and reacquainted with some old ones. She also got to celebrate her 15th birthday the week after we came back. She has grown into an amazing young woman and we are very proud. She still wants to be a chef, so we may be headed to Boston again next year for another try!
