The Hunters

My The men in our family are now officially "hunters"...after spending hundreds of dollars on guns, decoys, a skeet thrower, camo clothes, and ammo...we now have a freezer full of ducks and geese that no one but them want to eat! (just kidding...I think Em and Ramie liked the duck gumbo). Jody and Joseph both love spending time in the great outdoors and have had some wonderful days together lately. I am also including a pic of Joseph after a big hunt on the couch with Maggie! We really never expected North Dakota to be so beautiful (sunflowers), or to be full of so many varieties of wildlife. That is my nephew Samuel with Drew and Gracie at a wildlife refuge only 10 minutes from our home.

It was an awesome day and we can't beleive she is already one!

Halloween

This is the first Halloween in years that we have not dressed up as a family. We just couldn't manage to find a theme that encompassed Luke Skywalker and a snowfairy princess (which Drew and Ramie insisted upon). Emily was crushed but she felt better when she and Jody dressed up as a 50's couple. We ended up only visiting one house to actually trick or treat because it was 24 degrees! We had a good time - indoors- at a party. They say you know you live in North Dakota when you design your halloween costumes to fit over a snowsuit...and that is the truth!

2025 The First Six Months

This year was to be a year of rejoicing (my chosen "word of the year") and so far, it has exceeded our expectations! We have had ...
