Happy Chinese New Year!

 

Maggie and Charlie participated in the Chinese New Year Parade today.

The had so much fun!

Ponta da Piedade

The highlight of our trip was definitely Ponta da Piedade. It was so unbelievably gorgeous!

 

Wow!

 

 The whole drive was beautiful and we even stopped to buy some of the oranges that were for sale EVERYWHERE.  There were orange trees dripping with them all along the drive.  We pulled over to buy a bag from a sweet old guy (who spoke no English) and ended up with TWO huge bags.  Luckily, we had a juicer in the hotel so we had no problems using them all up!

The Beach!!

Oh, what a fun time we had in Portugal! We started in Faro, stayed in Vilamoura, drove up the coastal beaches sightseeing along the way, and ended the five days with Mass at the Cathedral in Faro before flying out.

We literally soaked in the sun! It wasn't hot but it was warm enough to play in the surf. We had the beach to ourselves and we spent the whole day playing and collecting seashells.

Nothing better then dinner on the beach!

 

 

 

New day, new beach! We drove to Albufeira and did some hiking, collecting rocks this time! The beach was covered with beautiful smooth stones and incredible rock formations.  We only thought today was the best day....until the next day when we travelled to Ponta da Piedade in Lagos. It was so beautiful I am going to have to post separately to upload all the pics!
