2025 The First Six Months

This year was to be a year of rejoicing (my chosen "word of the year") and so far, it has exceeded our expectations! We have had an engagement, a wedding, a graduation, TWO new grandbabies and one to arrive in October, and several fun trips.

Drew got married to a wonderful woman named Bridgette and we got a grandson, Levi!
Ramie got engaged to Josh Pasket and will be getting married on January 17, 2026!

Mom successfully defended her title of JPII Chili Cookoff Champion, with Dad's help, of course!

Mom and Dad had a much needed getaway to Key West.

Then Mom flew to DC for a reunion with friends and Ashley's baby shower.
Emily flew to Ashley and drove with her to help with the shower.

I have the best friends!

Charlie turned 17 and Victoria turned 2!

We traveled across the country to visit Joseph and Ashley one last time in North Carolina before they moved to Alabama, and had a fun spring break with most of the family in Myrtle Beach, SC.

We hit the beach, the children's museum, the racetrack, the arcade, the golf course, and ate at our favorite Italian restaurant with the accordion player - of course, Maggie sang for her supper!

Poor Em was sick the whole week (pregnancy) but was able to join us for our big dinner.
And then threw it all up in the parking lot....

Spring brought the last travel soccer season for Charlie (his choice), Prom and a baby shower for Bridgette and Drew.

April brought trips to see Louisiana family

and Easter!

Maggie with our sweet "adopted" grandbaby Selah Jo King.
The whole Easter gang!
Our "adopted" son Logan with us for Easter Mass.
April also brought a quick trip to Hot Springs, AR and a surprise visit for Grandpa and our IL family.

Jody helped Dad build a sharing table shed for their community garden exchange.
And then we were off again - this time, Louisiana for Uncle Steve and Aunt Eva's 50th anniversary celebration, and then, Vegas! May flew by with Charlie becoming a senior and all the traveling but the most important event was Laura Grace Ogea receiving her BA from Texas Tech! So proud!

June brought the babies!
Abigail Laura Ogea arrived June 5, 2025 weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces. Maw Maw and Tia were so grateful to be in Alabama and meet sweet Abby when she came home!

Bryce Alexander Ogea made his way into the world via an emergency C section on June 15, 2025.
He scared us all, but thankfully, all was well in the end for our little, 6 pounds even, guy!

We are feeling very blessed and can't wait to see what the rest of 2025 holds in store for us!
