New York!

New York was a fantastic long weekend! It was a bit stressfull for the mom, but no one else seemed to mind the rain, the cold, or the fact that they might get squished in the metro train door, or worse!, left behind! I have never considered myself a worrier but I guess the metamorphisis is complete and I am my mother... there are pics on facebook!

Thanksgiving 09

It was a loooong way to Lake Martin, Alabama but I am glad we made the trip. Jody was able to see all of his parents and siblings in one fun visit and we all enjoyed beautiful weather in a beautiful condo lent to us by wonderful, generous friends. We also had the added bonus of seeing family in Charlotte, NC on the way south. Here are a few pics.

Gettysburg

We spent the day at Gettysburg today. Upon my parent's reccomendation we paid a guide to drive our van and tour us around for 2 hours. It was completely worth it! We had a great time and learned so much. It was heartbreaking and inspiring, and gave you an upclose view of what war at that time was like. It made me extra grateful for the men willing to give their lives for what they believed in. It also made me thankful that we live in a country where we are all free. It certainly made history come alive for us today.

The Cast from Shrek!

Halloween is one of Jody's favorite holidays and he goes all out! (or should I say he forces me to go all out! haha!) We were the cast from Shrek, along with some good friends, and had a wonderful time trick-or-treating.

Fall Happenings!

I haven't been blogging much because of the Flu, amongst other things, so here are a few pics of what has been happening. We went to Disney on Ice with friends and had a blast, attended a pumpkin carving party, and Joseph is doing very well on his football team.

Day Game

We had a JV day game today and the weather was beautiful.

Happy Birthday Gracie!

Never say never.....it was another Chuck E. Cheese birthday! Fun was had by all and we didn't do anything other than make cupcakes and pay the bill. Can't beat that! Hard to beleive our Gracie is 6!
