Baseball and Soccer and Cub Scouts, Oh My!

What was I thinking? Joseph is playing High school baseball, Drew just joined cub scouts, and Ramie, Drew and Gracie are playing soccer. We have always limited the kids to one activity and one sport but even this seems to be too much this spring! Everyone is having a great time, but they have two very tired parents!

Crazy Weather...

It has been crazy weather here...one week we are building snow forts, the next we are eating dinner on the deck! I think winter is over, but I guess you never know! Better keep those snowboots out for a little longer!

Gracie

Gracie has been in rare form these days. Yesterday's conversation..."Mom, that's not how it goes." "Oh, your'e right Gracie, that's not how it goes." pause "I like being right!"
Day before yesterday she is sitting on my lap, snuggling and hugging me, cups my face in her hands, looks at me intently and says "Mommy?"
"Yes, Gracie?"
"Are you trying to grow a moustache?"
Gotta love those kids!

Snow Day!

Sometimes there is nothing better than a snow day. The kids went to bed hopeful and woke up to a dream come true. Four or better inches of fluffy white stuff to play in and no school for the day! Poor Charlie had to watch the fun from the door because Mommy neglected to buy him a snowsuit (I honestly didn't think he would need one!) This evening we had a nice fire and a gourmet meal compliments of my two chefs...Joseph made stuffed mushrooms and Em made Beef Wellington. It was fantastic! Jody was very disappointed that he had to spend the day at work. He did get a two hour delay so we were at least thankful for that. Hope all of you had as pleasant a day.
