Paint Job

We decorated the big girls room today. "Aunt" Sarah and I convinced them not to divide the room in half but instead get another bunk bed and utilize the most space possible. When Sarah bribed them with new duvet covers they agreed and we had fun painting the wall to match the beds. Emily picked the spreads and Ramie helped put the bed together.
This is a pic of Charlie as the "Frenchman". Drew gets a kick out of doing this to his hair whenever it gets wet and then we all laugh as Drew says "look at my little Frenchman!"

Raft Night

Raft night at the pool was extra fun this week! "Aunt" Sarah gave Charlie his first taste of watermelon and he loved it!

Washington D.C.

We made our first trip into D.C. and had a wonderful time. I was very nervous about getting everyone on and off of the metro, especially with the stroller, but it went fine. The kids loved riding the "train". (we have an extra in the pics-Jake is visiting from Omaha, and Ramie is with a friend in Virginia Beach) There is so much to see and do, we basically went just to see an overview. We spent a few hours in the Air and Space museum and a few hours in the Natural History museum before we hiked to the Washington Monument to see the view. All in all it only took about 45 minutes to get from our house to downtown! So come visit!

New House

Here are a few pics of our new house!

Visiting The Fulton's!

On our way to Virginia, we were able to spend three fun filled days with all the Fulton's (and Brooks). We got to celebrate the wonderful news of my sisters pregnancy and even had two mini-reunions with my Dad's extended family. Here are some pics...The "cousins" shot off fireworks, and guns!, with their crazy uncle Jody and played in the "playhouse" ( a chicken house with a supreme makeover). We miss them already!

At the Beach!

Fourth of July weekend was spent having a blast with our friends the Kings and the Robertsons! We spent Thursday on the Chesapeake Bay. Maggie had so much fun playing in the "mud", she was literally wallowing in it! Ramie spent most of the time collecting shells with her friend Caris King, the boys (Drew and David King) were skim boarding with Archie and Eli Robertson, and Joseph King and Gracie just had fun playing on the beach. Mom and Charlie had to escape to the small shady area on the trail heading to the beach because it was HOT! (Not that I am complaining!)

Happy Fourth of July!

The Ogea's arrived safely in Virginia! After a few days of unpacking we headed to the Norfolk area to spend the fourth of July with two families who are as dear to us as our own kinfolk! Here are some pics to enjoy. The last one is obviously the END of the day!
